Chinese Silver Panda

The Silver Panda is a silver bullion coin issued in China. It features the same rotating reverse designs as the popular Gold Panda. The Silver Pandas have been offered since the early 1980's, although early issues did not contain one ounce of silver and had limited mintages.

Recently issued Silver Pandas have standardized bullion weights of 1/4 oz, 1/2 oz, 1 oz, 5 oz, 12 oz, and 1 kilogram. The coins are now minted in .999 silver. The obverse of each coin features the Temple of Heaven and the reverse features well rendered depictions of Pandas.
